The team

This ambitious project brings together partners from a variety of backgrounds: cooperatives, scientists, NGOs, artisan chocolatiers and organic fair trade companies, who are working together to reinvent cocoa farming, with respect for people and nature.

Following the success of phase 1 of the project in the Dominican Republic, CACAOFOREST is now rolling out in Côte d’Ivoire! The world’s leading cocoa producer, Côte d’Ivoire is currently facing numerous challenges: declining soil fertility, ageing cocoa plantations, heavy pest pressure, etc.

The three-year CACAOFOREST project (2025-2028) aims to restore soil fertility through agroforestry in order to ensure the sustainability of cocoa production.

Project structured around three objectives
